| Feisbuk ha la sua utilità: CITAZIONE Roberto Amabile 29 aprile alle ore 19.18 Hi Bradd! How are you? I'm Roberto from Florence (Italy). I study Chemistry and I play D&D. I found this formula on the web, and someone said that's Szonye's attack power formula: P = (47 - 5n - 2D)/4 - T/2 where P = best power attack bonus n = number of attacks for round D = average damage T = opponet's AC Can you give me a demonstration of this? I trust you, but my professional bias prompts me to ask you a proof... If you give me that, I'll be deeply grateful for it. Best regards! Rob CITAZIONE Bradd W. Szonye 02 maggio alle ore 3.50 segnala Oh wow, I haven't looked at that in years! I know that I figured it out based on statistically expected damage, and then using calculus to solve for maximizing values. It isn't of much use in actual play, at least not as something you can plug numbers into (partly because you don't typically know all the variables). However, you can draw a broader conclusion from it: Power Attack usually works better as an all-or-nothing thing. The factors that affect it tend to be extreme one way or the other. I NEED DATA!
